Most Image-Line software runs in a 'demo mode' prior to registration. You will be in one of the following groups:
- The Download version installers of our software (FL Studio, Deckadance, plugins, EZGenerator, ...) do not use a serial number or registration number. There is no code to enter in the program to register it.
To unlock a download version from 'demo mode' you must download and install a Windows Registry file named FLRegkey.Reg. If you have ordered our software, you can download this file from your 'my account' page. It will contain codes for ALL Image-Line software you own, one regkey does it all. Easy!
To install the registry key, double click on the file (you will have to say yes to Windows security pop-ups) OR right-click the FLRegkey.Reg file and select 'Merge'. Next time you open the program it will be unlocked to the version or edition you ordered.

- If you have the Boxed version of our software, the serial number is included in your box (printed on a sticker attached to the Getting Started Manual or CD case). To (re)install your software, just insert the install CD and follow all on-screen installation instructions.
Please register your box (if you haven't done so already). If you lose your serial number and CD but have not registered with us online, you have no proof, that we can verify, you ever owned the program. By registering you can download a FLRegkey.Reg file to unlock the download version of the program, which is usually newer than the Boxed version. You also get 1 free update (e.g. FL9 to FL10, when it's available) and can join the user community and use our forums, get technical support, etc.
- Your serial number is registered online, but you need to get it back again for a CD-ROM installation of your program? Go to your 'my account' page and find your backuped serial number listed under the tab 'my licenses' and the name of your box version program.
