Included .WAV files won't load

Many .WAV files included with FL Studio are .OGG encoded .WAV files. These files require the Vorbis ACM CODEC to work. If you're experiencing issues with .WAV files included with FL Studio it's likely the Vorbis ACM CODEC was not properly installed on your computer. There are a several ways to install this manually:

Method 1:

From Windows Explorer navigate to the following two locations:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 12\System\Installers\VorbisACM"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 12\System\Installers\VorbisACM_x64"

Run the 'install.bat' file located in both of these locations, once installed restart your computer and test the files.

Method 2:

Navigate to "C:Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 12\System\Installers\VorbisACM\codec" and copy the 'vorbis.acm' file and paste it into "C:Windows\SysWOW64".

Navigate to "C:Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 12\System\Installers\VorbisACM_x64\codec" and copy the 'vorbis.acm' file and paste it into "C:Windows\system32".

Be cautious with the above instructions, the 'SysWOW64' location is for 32bit and the 'system32' location is for 64bit. It might be confusing because of the naming convention used. Once installed restart your computer and test the files.

OLDER INSTRUCTIONS:

Some .WAV files are in a compressed format. Occasionally some systems have all their Windows sound ACM codecs disabled (we don't know why). FL Studio needs these in order to load compressed .WAV files.

In Windows navigate to 'Start > Settings > Control Panel > Multimedia > Devices tab > Audio Compression Codecs'.
