Troubleshooting Plugin Issues

  1. The Knowledge Base has an entry listing known issues with plugins and solutions - Problems with VST Plugins in FL and Solutions (Wrapper Settings).
  2. The manual troubleshooting instructions for plugins may also be helpful - Plugins behaving badly. In particular, disabling multithreaded CPU processing and or enabling 'fixed sized buffers' fixes issues with many plugins. 

 

HOW TO SUBMIT A DIAGNOSTIC REPORT

 

If the above solutions don't help, please submit a diagnostic report, so our development team can investigate. Also make sure to report the issue to the plugin developer.

 


FL Studio Licensed

  • Inside FL Studio, go to menu Help > Diagnostics. See the manual here for the options and how to use them.
  • Select the option that best describes your problem.
  • Add a title that describes your issue, and include a description of steps our technicians can follow to recreate your issue.
  • Click the "Post to The Image-Line Backoffice" button.
  • The generated report will automatically be posted to the Technical Support Ticketing-System for Windows or macOS. Check later online in the Ticketing System for the technician's answer. The Link to the ticket will be shown after posting the issue to our System within the Diagnostics tool.


FL Studio Trial

  • Diagnostics is not available in the Trial, as it requires access to the support system.
  • If you encounter an issue, try a clean installation first.
  • The latest FL Studio Trial is exactly the same as the release and licensed version, so make sure your issues are resolved before purchasing a license.
