Incident

When using the Browser a file may take long to audio-preview initially, then later preview without delay. This can happen when the samples are on an additional HDD set to 'sleep' after being idle for a certain amount of time.

Solution

To stop your HDD from sleeping when idle:

1. Open Windows Control Panel
2. In Windows Control Panel navigate to "System and Security > Power Options"
3. On the selected Power Plan select "Change plan settings"
4. Select "Change advanced power settings"
5. Navigate to "Hard disk > Turn off hard disk after"
6. Set the "Setting" value to "0" minutes.

This should prevent Windows from putting your HDD to sleep and speed up sample preview and project load functions.
