Solution

If you're experiencing issues with MIDI notes being recorded earlier than they were played, you can try the following methods to minimize or eliminate the behavior.


Playback Tracking Offset

 

  1. Open "Options > Audio Settings".
  2. Set your Playback tracking to 'Driver'.
  3. Apply a negative offset of '-200%' using the 'Offset' control.


Playback Tracking (Alternate)

 

  1. Open "Options > Audio Settings".
  2. Set your Playback tracking to 'Mixer'.

    Note: This option is only useful if you can use low latency. In this case you do not apply any Playback tracking offset.
