FL, the settings window pops up in front of the blank project with everything else whether settings was open when I closed FL or not. I've never had this before and it's really strange.
It's always on the MIDI ...

->delete database files of plug->re-making favourite
->overwriting new thumbnail Flstudio did with last .bmp that was saved elsewhere (desktop)
but this method didnt work
