MIDI files from folder will not load after dragged into sequencer/piano roll

find a MIDI file (that previously worked a few weeks ago) and when I drag it into a channel nothing happens. No notes appear in the piano roll. I'm thinking I should just uninstall and re-install FL Studio? Help!! ...
