forum FL Studio 20, and when loading into old song projects, on the mixer inserts, where some 3rd party plugins used to be, it's now replaced by "fruity wrapper", thereby eliminating my mixing efforts and I'm not sure how to fix this ...

Can you upgrade the version in the FL studio itself ?? or Should you download the EXE file and install it? and then delete the other version?
even if you have the registry?
