FL Studio box versions include the Generic Sample CD content.
This sample content is included on the same CD-ROM / USB stick as the FL Studio program installer.
No separate medium is needed for this content so there is only 1 CD / USB stick in the box.
You do NOT need to download this extra content.
Installation instructions provided with the boxed versions of FL Studio 12 are outdated.
How to install the 'extra samples' from the USB in FL Studio?
The extra sample content is now installed using the FL Studio 12 installer included on your USB thumbdrive. When installing FL Studio you will see an option to install these extra samples, select this option to have the sample content installed automatically.
As an alternative you can copy the 'Samples' folder on your USB thumbdrive to the FL Studio Shared Data folder (...\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\Documents\Image-Line\Data). The samples can then be accessed directly from the FL Studio Browser in the 'IL Shared Data' folder.
How to install the 'extra samples' from the Generic Sample CD in FL Studio?
These "Extra Samples" are the contents of the Generic Sample CD.
You can also download this content from your 'my licenses' section or from our web site on the Generic Sample CD page.
From the "Choose Components" window select "Extra Samples" option (highlighted):
FL Studio box versions 2 to 11 include the installers on CD-ROM.
FL Studio box version 12 and higher include the installers on USB stick.
