FL Studio (for Windows) reads .AIFF, .DS, .DS, .DWP, .FLAC, .MID, .MP3, .OGG, .SF2, .Speech, .SYN, .XI, .WAV files

You first need to convert your iTunes .m4a file to .AIFF, .WAV, .OGG, .FLAC or .MP3 to use it in FL Studio.
No converter is needed. Just right-click on the file in iTunes and select "Create MP3 Version".
Use that version to add the song to FL Studio.

Note:
FL Studio Mobile is able to work with iTunes files.
It has iTunes file sharing support.
