Encountering Runtime Errors

You may encounter runtime errors in FL Studio. The file name or subject can vary, but generally it includes one of the following:

  • Error 216
  • IPP.dll
  • dsp_ipp.dll
  • QuickFontCache.dll
  • Rundll32.dll

How to correct any of the aforementioned runtime errors depends on when you encounter them.

During Installation:

Restart your computer, then reattempt installation. The files may be in use, if you've had an instance of FL Studio open prior to installation.

When running FL Studio:

Follow the instructions provided for installing the latest Shared program files.

Installing the shared program files does not help?

If the above instructions do not get rid of the errors, please create a new ticket in our Technical Support Ticketing System.
