We log account sign-ins and sign-in attempts to protect accounts from unauthorized access.

The message "Somebody (probably you?) tried unsuccessfully to sign into your 'My Account'" is automatically sent, only once in a 24 hour period,  when there was a failed sign-in attempt. This usually means an incorrect password was used. Mistakes happen.

The message notes that NO ACCESS was given since the login was unsuccessful.

What to do if you are concerned?

We understand you may have concerns. Here's what you can do to make sure no-one will gain unauthorized access in future:

  • Sign in to your Image-Line Account page.
  • Go to 'personal data' > 'account security' > click 'logout all sessions'
  • Change your sign-in password and your account is secure again (make sure to save this info for future reference).
  • Activate Two Factor Authentication so that even if someone had your login details, they would still not be able to access the account.
  • Optional - make a support ticket and staff can let you know if any unusual IP address was used for sign-in.

Notes

  • You will see an IP address in the message. Check your own IP address by going to for example: https://www.whatismyip.com and compare to that in the email.
  • The time indicated may not be the actual time when the failed 'my account' access was tried. The time depends on the 'my account' > personal data > preferences > time zone setting. When nothing is set there, you receive a general GMT time.
