FL Studio - Recording dialog no longer showing when pressing Record

How to Recover the Recording Dialog Popup



If you've selected 'Don't ask this in the future' on the Recording pop-up options and you would like this pop-up back, there are two solutions:

  1. 'Shift + Left-click' on the Record transport control in the Toolbar will show the Recording popup. This option will not undo the 'Don't show in the future' selection made on the Recording dialog.

  2. To recover the Recording pop-up you must reset FL Studio's settings:

    A. macOS & Windows users - Reset your FL Studio settings, this option is recommended for those who are not comfortable working in the registry.

    B.  Windows users - If you are comfortable working in the Windows registry you can try the following:

      • In Windows search for and open 'regedit.exe'
      • FL Studio 20 - Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Image-Line\FL Studio 20\DSTITF"
      • FL Studio 12 - Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Image-Line\FL Studio 12\DSTITF"
      • Double-click the 'PopupRec' String.
      • Set the value to '0'.

 
Now close and open FL Studio, the menu should now reappear.
