By default FL Studio automatically switches the Windows Power Plan to 'High performance'. This Power Plan is intended to optimize power management for performance purposes, which is important when working with realtime audio. Because of this you may notice that your laptop fan speed increases upon launching FL Studio.
You can disable this option within FL Studio by navigating to 'Options > General Settings > Advanced' and disabling 'Force high performance power plan'.
ASUS ROG Series Laptops
If you experience similar issues with the ASUS ROG series laptops the above instructions may not help at all.
You will have to install the following files provided by ASUS to correct the issue, ASUS ROG FL Studio Patch Files.
