ReWire Deprecated

NOTE: ReWire was discontinued by Propellerheads / Reason Studios in 2020. Consequently, FL Studio as a ReWire device is also now deprecated in FL Studio. Official support ended with FL Studio 20.7. Please use FL Studio as a VST/AU to use it in other DAWs.

Using FL Studio as ReWire Client in Pro Tools

Some users may encounter issues with Pro Tools not listing FL Studio as a ReWire client, this is generally corrected by forcing Pro Tools to rescan registered ReWire clients.

Register FL Studio as a ReWire client

Follow the instructions provided in the following section of the reference manual to register FL Studio as a ReWire Client, 'Registering/Unregistering the ReWire Device'.

Force rescan registered ReWire clients in Pro Tools

1. Ensure that Pro Tools has been closed.
2. Using Windows File Explorer navigate to 'C:\Users\Your_Username\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Pro Tools'.
3. Delete the InstalledAAXPlugins file.
4. Launch Pro Tools, your plugins and any installed Rewire clients will be rescanned.

Once the scan is complete you should have access to FL Studio as a ReWire client in Pro Tools.
