Normal procedure
The box version is registered by entering the serial number during the installation process.
The serial number is printed on the Getting Started Manual or CD case (very old FL Studio box versions).
If the 'install' link in your FL Studio box installation menu isn't working, you can also start the CD-ROM / USB stick based installer from Windows explorer. Till FL Studio version 11, your received a CD-ROM with the installer file, from FL Studio version 12 on, you receive a USB stick.
1. Go to the CD-ROM / USB stick directory in Windows explorer.
2. Open the directory Bin
3. In this directory double click the file flsetup.exe
4. This will start the FL Studio installation from CD-ROM / USB stick.
Alternative procedure
Additionally,
we can give you access to a download installer as an alternative to installing from the CD-ROM / USB stick (if that doesn't work for you). Apart from being the latest version of the edition you purchased, it also means that
if you lose your CD-ROM / USB stick and serial number you can download FL Studio any time and any-where you have access to the Internet from an account you set up on our site. It's great insurance.
