In summary, FL Studio consists of:

  1. The main FL Studio program (Fruity or Producer edition).
  2. The instrument and effects plugins that run inside FL Studio.
  3. Access to the Free User version of FL Cloud (see the Browser Sounds Tab).

See the feature comparison page here for a list of all plugins included.

FL Studio Trial Limitations

You cannot reload saved projects in the FL Studio Trial version. However, you can export projects to audio formats and save the projects also. You can only reload saved projects after purchasing FL Studio.

Note: Not all plugins are included in FL Studio Editions below the All Plugins Edition. If your trial projects use any of these plugins and you purchase a lower tier of FL Studio, the plugins may still be in trial mode when you open the saved projects. In this case, only those plugins will not load, but the rest of your project will.

When using the FL Studio trial, one way to check if a plugin is a trial is to click on the plugin interface then press the F1 key on your keyboard. The help file will open to the help page for that plugin and will mention if it is included. These symbols are used in the title.

About FL Studio Editions

The most cost-effective approach is to purchase FL Studio All Plugins Edition. But if you are not sure, then Producer Edition is a great place to start. See the feature comparison page here for a list of all plugins included.

FL Studio Fruity Edition ($99 USD)

Has limited FL Studio features. Is aimed at those people who need Piano roll for sequencing functions but does not have Audio Recording, Slicex, or Edison. For a list of all features included in this edition, see the feature comparison page here.

FL Studio Producer Edition ($199 USD)

Provides the highest level of functions in FL Studio. It gives you access to Audio Recording, Slicex, Edison and more! For a list of all features included in this edition, see the feature comparison page here.

FL Studio Signature Bundle ($299 USD)

Signature Bundle is a 'bundle' including Producer Edition + a collection of our 'signature' (most advanced) plugins. It's the cost effective way to get your hands on our best gear. If you already own some of the plugins in the Signature Bundle, the Image-Line store will automatically deduct these from the upgrade price.

FL Studio All Plugins Edition ($499 USD)

At a level above Signature Bundle, this includes all plugins and core functions you find in the FL Studio Trial. If you want it all, then this is the version for you. FL Studio plus all plugins at a significant discount compared to purchasing them all separately.

As we give Lifetime Free Updates to FL Studio we think this is a fair deal. You only pay for what you need or want, we give you Lifetime Free Updates to the version you purchase. Amazing value!
